We help veterans take charge of their in-home care.
Consumer Direct Care Network Washington (CDWA) supports Veterans enrolled in the Veteran Directed Care (VDC) program. VDC offers a choice of supports to fit your needs.
We work closely with your:
- Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT)
- Veterans Affairs (VA) PCS Coordinator
- Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Coordinator
This program is an alternative to geriatrics and extended care, homemaker home health aide care, in-home respite care, and adult day health care.
What’s Unique About the Program
- Unlike in many other programs, in the VDC program, spouses can provide paid care.
- This program provides Work Week Limit (WWL) flexibility. Clients can purchase overtime hours with their budgets. Goods and services, including overtime, must be preapproved by the VA PCS Coordinator.
How to Enroll
Veterans interested in the VDC program should talk with their VA Primary Care Provider for a referral.
